July 28, 2008 — Distort would like to announce and welcome to the roster, Stoney Creek's, Straight Reads The Line. The 5-piece metalcore outfit are currently in the studio recording their debut album to be released on Distort later this year, titled, 'The Author'. "We are more than honoured to be apart of this label. It's a dream to be working with such an amazing team. Now it is time to pwnn00bz!" Vocalist, Blake Prince states about their signing to Distort. Already promoters and audiences are buzzing about Straight Reads The Line due to their extremely high-energy live setting and technicality they bring to their songwriting.
Forming together in late 2004, SRTL (as their fans affectionately refer to them), have already shared the stage with acts Job For A Cowboy, Silverstein, Cancer Bats, Protest The Hero, Throwdown, Taken, A Textbook Tragedy, The Holly Springs Disaster, The Human Abstract, Misery Signals, Shai Hulud, Between The Buried And Me, Ligeia, Arise and Ruin, Threat Signal, The Gorgeous, Number Twelve Looks Like You, Moneen, Means… and the list could continue much much longer.
